1 Peter
Written to people scattered and under pressure, about how to suffer without becoming bitter. Peter had denied him once, which gives the encouragement weight. The readings here come almost entirely from two chapters: the one that calls its readers strangers here and living stones, and the last one, where the instruction is to stay low, stay awake, and hand him the worry.
