Humility Before the Lord
Humility. It is the opposite of pride. The root word of humiliation. It is a word that the world really does not understand. Why would you ever want to be humiliated? Humility brings about a selfless attitude. It helps us see something bigger than ourselves. It helps us understand our purpose and God’s purpose for mankind. Humility can look like denying yourself and admitting when you are wrong. Humility can mean asking for help and realizing you can’t do this life on your own. Humility can mean standing for truth and righteousness when everyone else gives in. It can mean something different for every single person.
Pray today about how you can humble yourself before the Lord and give in to the love and power of God the Father. By humbling yourself, you will find a closeness with the Lord and your relationship with others.

Dear Lord,
Help me be humble before you. May I always put my pride to rest and think of others as better than myself. May I put them first and serve them instead of myself. Amen.
