Remember, O Lord, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you. Then he broke down and wept bitterly.
Isaiah 38:3
Live for You
Isaiah was a prophet who told of the coming birth of the Messiah. He was a prophet in a time of desolation when the people were rebelling against God. Yet, He says in this verse that he had remained faithful to God and was a trustworthy servant. He lived to please the Lord. Everything he did was for the Lord and His will. He lived with the promise and hope of the Savior.
How about you? Do you live with the hope of the Savior? We live on this side of the Messiah, yet many times we live for ourselves instead of the Lord. Spend some time in prayer today, seeking the Lord and His promises.
A Prayer to Remember
Dear Lord,
May I live for you each and every day. May I please you in all I do. Amen.
