Verse of the Day

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬

God Loved the World Devotional

God is love. I’m sure you’ve heard that before, and sometimes it is used to benefit the belief of someone whether Christian or Non-Christian. Do we really understand the depths of God’s love? John 3:16 is a verse that almost every believer is familiar with. We memorize it as children, and it sticks with us throughout adulthood. When you really examine this scripture, though, it will change your life.

God’s love for man began at the beginning of time when He created Adam and Eve. Genesis tells us that He created man in His image. So He loved us so much that He created us with His characteristics, which is why we are called the children of God. However, since He knew that man would sin and need redemption, He showed the ultimate act of love by sacrificing His Son on the cross for us. This act of love saved us from the punishment of hell and instead gave us life! He gives us an abundant life on this earth and eternal life in heaven with Him! That is love.

A Prayer to Remember

Dear Lord,
Thank you for your redemption. You showed the ultimate act of love when you sacrificed your Son on the cross for me. Thank you for the gift of your salvation. Amen
