Verse of the Day

Romans 15:13

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

The Hope of the World

The hope of Jesus is never more evident than it is at Christmas. We see people come together to help others in need. Every year we see donations, contributions, Christmas cards, and service projects that bring joy to the world. In the church, our hope and joy comes from Jesus Christ and His story. The hope of the world was born in a manger. That hope brought the shepherds from their fields and the wisemen from the east to celebrate the birth of the King and worship His holiness.

That hope still drives us to do good and help others in need. When we put all of our hope in God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son, then we will be filled with the joy and peace that only God gives. We will overflow with that hope and bring His light to the world.

A Prayer to Remember

Dear Lord,
You are the hope of the world. May I spread your hope and love this Christmas season. May I overflow with confident hope through your Spirit so the world will see the light inside of me. The light of the Savior. Amen
