But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.

Glad About Their Faith
Paul was glad about other people’s faith, and he told them so. He did that for the church in Philippi, and he did it in chains, not sure he would come out alive. He pictures his life being “poured out like a drink offering,” the wine a worshiper poured over a sacrifice. And the sacrifice he’s thinking of is theirs, their faith and the service that comes from it.
Even if his life is spent that way, he says, “I am glad and rejoice with all of you.” Then he asks for the same back: “So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.”
There’s probably someone whose faith has helped yours over the years. They would be glad to hear it from you.
A Prayer to Remember
Father, thank you for the people whose faith has carried mine, some of them without ever knowing it. Show me who’d be glad to hear that from me.
