But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.Philippians 2:17-18
Rejoice in the Lord
These words are some of the most difficult to pray, yet they seem so easy coming from Paul. He was willing to lose his life for Christ because he had found his life in him. He thought he had found his fullness in the law but it still left him empty. Once he found Christ, he found completion, fullness, wholeness in him. He was willing to pour out his life because he knew it wasn’t his to begin with. It belonged to God.
Maybe you are not there and that is okay. The more you spend time with God and submit to him and his will, the closer you will be to the Lord. Never be satisfied with where you are in your walk. Amen.
A Prayer to Remember
You are always growing me. Thank you for the work you are always doing in and through me. Amen.
