Ephesians 4:4 tells us, “For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.” If you are a Christian, then you believe in one way to heaven. There is one salvation, one hope of the future with Jesus Christ. It is impossible to be a Christian and believe that there are multiple ways to achieve eternity with Jesus. It is not possible. Jesus came and said in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. You can think of it like this. He is the ONE way. He is the ONE truth. And he is ONE life.
He is the only hope that we as Christians have in this life. His hope is what makes getting through tragedy and trauma a little easier. I have seen people go through hard times with no hope. They fall into depression, resentment, and even hatred because they have nothing to cling to. Sometimes, Christians even fall into these when they do not cling to the hope of God. However, when believers cling to His hope, they are able to cast their cares and anxieties on the Lord. As Romans 5:5 says, hope does not disappoint: “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”
Spend some time today clinging to the hope of the Lord.
