Jeremiah

A man told to say things nobody wanted to hear, for forty years, to people who never listened. Jeremiah wept over it, and the book does not hide that. The readings here come from the promises rather than the warnings: the wound that gets healed, and the tree by the water that keeps its leaves through a dry year.
