2 Corinthians
The most personal thing Paul wrote. He defends himself, admits how close he came to despair, and says that strength arrives through weakness rather than instead of it. Most of the readings here come from chapter five, where the old has gone, where we walk by faith rather than by sight, and where the exchange is made by someone who owed nothing.
